Newborn Session in Studio | Wesley John

Welcome to the world little Wesley!
I am so pleased today to share with you a newborn session I did for my friend Vanessa, from Vanessa Mitera Photography! After taking her maternity photos, she had her sweet little guy, and I had to honor of photographing their family during this time.

We took these photos at their home, in which Vanessa has an in-home studio. That was great! Wes was an angel for his session, and…. let’s be honest. I am never upset about having the chance to hold a fussy baby either. I love babies! One thing I loved about these photos of him was that he was awake for some and asleep for some. It is so great to have some variety and always fun to look back at your baby looking at you 🙂

Big brother also joined us for some photos. He obviously adores his brother 🙂 Also, he was creating a pretty epic build while I was taking photos of his baby bro. A giant wall made from solo cups! Truly, I am still impressed!

I kept everything as simple as possible for this newborn session, as I normally try to do! I love the simple white, bright look of these. Neat swaddles and light colored furniture kept the aesthetic really clean (thanks to Vanessa ;))

Once we were done in the studio, I got to follow them around their (beautiful!!) home for a bit, taking photos in the kitchen and in the nursery! It is always super fun to see how other’s style their home, especially baby nurseries. I love how Vanessa put Wes’s together 🙂 It is super cute!
