Sweet & Simple Newborn Session | Jay

Some sessions are quiet in the best way. This recent newborn session was just that—easy, peaceful, and full of love.

Baby boy arrived with his mom, dad, and big sister, who was almost two years old and already stepping into her role with so much curiosity and care. She couldn’t stop peeking at her baby brother, gently patting his head, and snuggling in close, and giving the *best* big sister kisses.

We kept things simple. We let moments unfold naturally, followed their pace, and didn’t worry about perfection. Those in-between, unposed moments always end up being the ones families treasure most—the way her hand rested on his head, how mom and dad looked at their children together, a quiet yawn from a sleepy newborn.

This is the beauty of newborn photography: it’s not about elaborate setups or getting everyone to smile at the same time. It’s about preserving how it felt to welcome this little one into your life.

Here’s a peek at this heartfelt morning in the studio.

If you’re expecting or recently welcomed a new baby, and want to remember this season in a way that feels natural and true to you, I’d love to help you document it.
