Maternity Photos in Omaha – Spring Blossoms Edition

Hello and welcome back to another session today! I am so super pleased to share with you this gorgeous maternity session I did in the spring. I released a model call to some families to work with me under the flowering trees in Omaha. My friend Vanessa, from Vanessa Mitera Photography reached out for maternity photos, and I was like… “Um, of course, yes!!!” and the rest is history.

Truly, I cannot begin to tell you how excited I was, because I know Vanessa is going to show up looking absolutely stunning. She has a similar style to me, so she didn’t need any help styling her family or wondering what to wear…and her husband knows the drill haha.

Vanessa and her husband already had one little cutie, their son, who joined us for this session! He was a champ! I make it my goal to at least get one photo where everyone is looking and looking happily at me, and he made it so easy!

Ok, also, can we just talk about how gorgeous these blooms are?! They are perfect for Maternity Photos! Or really any photos – I can dream about family photos here…or 6-month… or whatever your heart desires. They add such a beautiful, soft, element to these maternity photos.

My own experience

In case you’re sitting there, wondering…. “Well, if you love them so much, why don’t you get some of your own family taken??” To appease you… we tried! We really did. Except there was one problem. I didn’t follow my own advice!! I showed up to our session with two tired and hungry kids. All they would do was cry and eat goldfish… but they didn’t even smile for the goldfish!

So, take it from me. Feed your kids a well rounded meal before you come, and schedule your session after they nap! And if you wonder if there’s a photographer out there who understands the struggle, it’s me. I do!

But enjoy these beautiful maternity photos with a family who’s child cooperated 🙂
